In prepping for the revered festival season (which is basically an additional fashion season), I've put together my favorite look from Urban Outfitters' Festival Shop. Paired a classic vintage-inspired CA tee with a comfy-ass pair of shorts. Topped with a flannel for lightweight insulation during the dessert afternoon. And please, for the sake of your snapchat, don't forget to bring an external portable charger, or as I like to call it, a porti charge. All this has built up a ton of excitement for Levitation Festival in Austin--can't wait to bring you guys along the way.
Festivus fun was sponsored by UO, but I picked out everything and lurv it all.

For Ace Hardware’s 31 Days of Color, I selected the shade Take A Bow, a beautiful and muted-minty color that reminds me of succulents and sipping mules on a breezy day in the desert. I used Clark + Kensington’s exterior version to paint a wall in my yard near the garden, a perfect offset for an outdoor brunch with the gals. (I'm also admittedly using it as a backdrop for outfit photos because everyone loves a beautiful wall.) After grubbin' on tacos and before heading out to a mini-festival I covered, we stopped by Ace Hardware and scooped up Take A Bow. Purchasing was quick & simple and the dude assisting me was really helpful. After painting was done, I rounded up some drinks and relaxed with my pups.

I want to take a little intermission and call out my new blog makeover. Initially, I had wanted an entire site redo but realized this layout is exactly what I want in a blog, with the exception of needing a comprehensive nav. bar and timeless header. I asked my good friend and super talented photographer/blogger/basically-good-at-everything-person Alyssa of Ordinary People to help make my navigation bar. I created a mockup of my dream one that I had hoped to aim for and SHE CODED AN IDENTICAL ONE IN NO TIME. This probably would've taken me two weeks of CSS guess and check. She's amazing.
And for my beautiful illustrated header, it was drawn by Gabie, whose art I'm still captivated by. The first time I laid eyes on her pieces, it elicited emotions I can't really describe, and I knew I had to utilize this for my first ever logo/branding piece. (I'm a bad blogger and I've never had business cards or anything stable, until now--5 years later). Personally, it evokes longing, daydreaming, sincerity, and a beautiful sense of disconnectedness. This paired with the constellations reminds me of Dr. Manhattan, one of the more intriguing and complex comic characters to me.
