I used my personal experience and took up the challenge of creating an ultimate Survival Kit (or goodie bag, as I’d like to call it) for a friend going back to college next month. When you think, ONLY THE NECESSITIES, you first grab a box of Gushers too, right? Check. Tide To-go pens that remove spontaneous spills? Check. (This pen has seriously been a lifesaver for me in so many situations. I carry one in each bag that I own.) Sunnies for when you’re exhausted the next day, absolutely check. I also included an instant film camera because sometimes it’s better to put down the SnapChat and enjoy some good ol’ polaroids. The credit card-sized photos are perfect for giving out or hanging up, and the vintage 90's feel is like none other. After all that studying she’ll do and jotting in her leather-bound notebook, she’ll know she can come back to the dorms to relax with a mini fan and lavender candle. The fan is just the right size--she can sneak it in a corner, put it on her desk next to her computer, or just stick it right there next to her bed. The lavender candle is also super dorm-friendly and comes ready with a lid for when you need to transplant yourself from your room down to the study hall. Once the day's over, she can prep her skin with a nice, all-natural exfoliator and almond milk hand crème.
