I received this playsuit from one of my favorite Aussie retailers, Beginning Boutique, and channeled their intentionally summery piece (I imagine their summer Christmases must be awesome) into a Californian winter piece. I paired this romper over our chiffon pleated blouse, tights, and knee-high boots, and threw a chunky knit on top of everything. Coziest idea ever. It was perfect for vintage jewelry hunting and antique store hopping that day.

I was initially saving this dress for my New Year's Eve wear, but my present hedonism kicked in and I wore it for pre-birthday jaunts instead. I came close! Consider this more documentation that my affinity for skater/ballerina-type dresses will live on, even if the world were to actually end tomorrow. Pfffft.

STANLEY KUBRICK EXHIBIT

 
Tonight I'm staying true to this blog's roots with a deservingly image-heavy post of the Stanley Kubrick exhibit at the LA County Museum of Art. Those that have wandered my blog since the days of 2009 know that posts on art galleries and music events outnumbered outfit posts in a huge way. 
Even if you're not a film buff or Kubrick fan (The Shining and A Clock Work Orange are my favorites), it's worth at least a quick scroll. Onward!
