As someone with a strange aversion to foundation or heavy coverage (pet peeve, or in other words gives me the heebie jeebies), there are still days when light coverage, a little more than loose powder, is necessary. I have relatively allergy-sensitive skin, so I'm a little excited to have found the perfect combination of products for said days.
Smashbox tinted moisturizer in Light, NARS pressed powder in Desert to set, and Chanel lait confort cleansing milk for gentle removal afterward--I love that it can be used with or without water and feels just like, well, milk.

Because Droid 2 battery life ultimately SUCKS, I had to photograph my screen to get back to Danielle's.
Flying back--June on the West Coast was only appropriate.
Squeezing in the photos from my trip to New York before I cross the fine line between a belated post and irrelevance. To continue my recap of my amazing jaunts through the streets of NYC, I'll continue in the general direction of the stream of photos. I couldn't wait to wear the Harness Microfibre Corset I had purchased the day before at the Topshop in Soho, so I sported it for the day's adventures, which would include exploring and dining with a total babe-of-a-reader of mine, Gigi. We naively decided to walk in the impossibly hot and humid weather, but we came across great sights and even ran into one of the Pride marches which took place throughout the weekend. Major shopping and vintage sourcing occured and concluded immaculately with sushi that took forever, but was definitely worth the wait. Also jumbled in these photos are the Brooklyn Flea where I met up fellow blogger Katie, the Renegade Craft Fair (this had to be one of my favorite parts--it was like etsy IRL), and a picnic in East State Park by Williamsburg consisting of a grilled cheese from the Milk Truck and grapefruit/basil lemonade. My last day was purely shooting the look book for Tarte Vintage, which ended just in time before hot showers came down and my flight time rolled around. Nothing can really explain how thankful I am to have met such awesome readers, other bloggers, and photographers because of the this outlet colloquially called "blogging." Oh, technology.
It's not even been a month, but I'm having some sort of New York withdrawals. Going to rectify this ASAP.
