Because my photo diaries usually elicit strung-along, run-on sentences, I’ll save my apologies. These photos are the first batch to my recent travels to New York. My trip was nothing short of amazing. I wish I didn’t feel on the spot to produce a beautifully elaborate tale of my adventures because nothing would do any justice.
These photos depict enjoying a buzz on the elongated six hour connecting flight, Thai food restaurants which became a cornerstone throughout my trip, mini televisions inside the cabs (and oh how I wished my sister and I would stumble into the “Cash Cab” because I can assure you we would have not left empty-handed), doing touristy things with my sister who visited for the day from DC, becoming a little too excited upon coming across Matisse and Picasso’s work at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, chuckling at my sister’s affirmation that we were all too ashamed to acknowledge (“I don’t really care about the clay pots”), channeling Gossip Girl and sitting on the steps of the Met (while chanting “ex-oh-ex-oh” all morning), shopping in Soho and skipping through the doors of the impressive three-story Topshop, Danielle’s calendar I spotted with my name sprawled in such a cute manner on the day I would be coming to visit ♥ , one of the shots from Tarte’s newest look book, shots inside Acne studios in Soho, and our walk “down the street” to Times Square from Danielle’s apartment.
Not pictured? Getting off the subway at Port Authority and having a Tarte customer recognize me within taking my first few steps in New York City… it was unreal! I was in awe to run into a reader/customer so happy about her products in such a new place to me. You are all crazily amazing.
Part II + Schiaparelli & Prada Exhibit coming at you next.
These pictures really give you a glimpse into New York. It's amazing, especially for someone like me who has never been there. Thank you, this is one of my favourite blog posts ever. :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I gave a few second thoughts about posting so many photos because they're more lifestyle than fashion-related, so I'm glad you liked it.

The pictures are awesome! Such a wonderful insight into your time spent in the big NYC but I'm kind of wondering how bogus it is that you have a midterm paper due one week and then a final paper due the week after. What! Is it the same paper? Sorry for asking such a trivial and irrelevant question. Ha.
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's actually my friend's calendar who is taking summer classes at NYU. She wrote my name because that was the first day I'd be coming to visit! Don't worry about it, your question was quite relevant!

The plain is not too bad! It's kind of loud so you should bring an iPod or MP3 player. Also bring gum to chew on just in case your ears pop. Something to read also helps the time pass. It's definitely nothing to be scared of, though!
