Since I received this dress from Beginning Boutique a few weeks ago, I knew I had to save it for Valentine's Day. We made great use of my V-Day balloons from le boyy and shot these on the dock behind the restaurant where we had dinner (although much later). The dress perfectly integrates my favorite features of any dress: unique cutouts, straps galore, and a froufy (is that a word?) tutu-like skirt with a fitted bodice. Ideal. And for my lipstick, I used MAC's cream color base pro in Pink Shock, which finishes completely matte. Besides my Rouge Volupte by YSL, matte lipsticks are my absolute favorite because they just do something for my lips that others cannot.
For our Valentine's Day plans, this year I was in charge of daytime surprises while le boyy took over the night shift. I'd like to say I did an excellent job translating the predominantly girly holiday into boy-approved bliss--check it out here.
