I swear I'm not dead! It pains me that I haven't updated in over two weeks, which I think is the longest time since I've started posting regularly, but I've seriously had the busiest two weeks of my life! I've finished moving into my new place in LA, and as soon as I was fully settled, it was time to pack for Las Vegas. Needless to say, I'll have a lot coming for you. School has started up again and I'll be working an actual job again as well, but I've assured myself I will find time to weave in a few posts a week.
Some weeks ago we attended Art in the Streets exhibit as a part of LA's Museum of Contemporary Art. It was more of le boy's cup of tea, however I did come prepared with prior knowledge of the movement from various nights on the couch watching Netflix documentaries. Afterward we took a stroll through Little Tokyo and appropriately, topped off our adventure with Hello Kitty Frozen yogurt.

KNIT PICK

Something about the milky, noisy, sun-drenched quality of film photos really reaches out to me more than any digitized camera could. It may be the nostalgia it brings, or what its naturally attributed to (vintage clothing, movies, literature), who knows. I really wish I had my own dark room so I could put those skills I learned in high school to use, and so I could call the developing process my own. It will happen, mark my word!

AFRIKA

Vintage Afrika print pant (for sale!), AA tri-blend romper
We took these a while ago, when we first accidentally discovered what a cool spot this was. I first had the boy check for trolls; I kid you not, my best friend and I were once shot at by a troll under a bridge. I really love these pants I'm selling because they're a hybrid between two of my favorite trends: the Afrika print (most popularly capitalized by American Apparel) and vintage, high waist slacks.
While exploring the terrain as middle-schoolers would, we found this written on the wall; it was as interesting as it was disheartening. I hope he/she is okay!

I've been meaning to post these photos and introduce two new items up on my Closet Shop, but I just couldn't stomach giving my maxi skirt to a new home/closet just yet. But alas, it is time. The possibilities are endless, and I hope to find another because this is definitely a fall and winter staple.

MOM'S BDAY NOMZ

Quick Sunday evening post, then I have a plethora of updates coming during the week. For Mother's Day, I had the best Thai food my lips have ever come in contact with. I remembering scarfing down way more than I can handle. In retrospect, I hope I can rock a bodycon dress when I reach my mother's days.
