I love finding these skirts because of how many of you request them for my shop! The saying remains to be true: ask and you shall receive. I really feel a look similar to this one is great for those who want to incorporate a summery look but aren't fond of donning bright colors. I saved the clash of monochromaticity for my nails and lips. I'm wearing L Esprit (the fourth color I received) and below is Summer Peach, a color I've favored and had forever.

SUNFLOWERS AND LACE

Faithful Lace Dress via Nasty Gal, YSL clutch, Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Wood in Cheetah

I spotted these beautiful sunflowers and couldn't pass up the photo op. This dress is the first of a grip of dresses I bought from Nasty Gal in celebration of the first summer I haven't had to attend classes full-time, let alone any at all! I love the practical length, balanced by the exposed backside; it's perfect for throwing over a swim suit.

This summer will be full of projects, relaxing vacations, adventurous road trips, a hearty reading list, and a LOT of change towards the end: I'm moving out into my first apartment! This entitles a MASSIVE downsize from my bedroom-sized closet to whatever will be in store for me, read: yard sale! A few friends and I will be putting a yard/sample sale together so if you're in the area, stay tuned for this.

MILK & HONEY

After a long day of studying, Kristine and I stopped by Milk & Honey for a quick snack of green tea-flavored shaved ice, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The environment screamed, or cooed, rather, homeliness and well-being, right down to their assorted parking spots. A lot of what I wore is up for sale on my closet shop, but I'll elaborate more in my next post.

CHAPTER 1

For Mother's Day, my wonderful parents and I had dinner at Chapter One at the Artist Village in DTSA. The aesthetic of this little nook fit the name in its entirety; everything was set up like a library! There were shelves built in the walls, and even the podium was a card catalog. For all of you kids who have grown up with the convenience of computers, these are the little shelves that held cards used to find books, before one could simply type in a simple phrase and get exactly what they need. The food was amazing and in just the right portions. My mother and I both split the mac and cheese and the Thai noodles.

The best part, however, was dessert. We got the Soft Chocolate (soft chocolate ganache, chocolate soil, soy caramel, friend wontons, & sesame powder), and the Yuzu Tart (Eggless yuzu curd, pate sucre crumble, grapefruit, green tea meringue, and strawberry coulis.) Don't these photos, let alone just their descriptions, look and sound amazing! I'll will need to revisit soon. Although, this was before my second attempt at veganism, which is going well so far!
