SUTRA

DSC_1002

A week or two ago, Chris and I went to see some friends at Sutra in Costa Mesa. Being LA natives, we don't get to hang out often and since this was down the street from Chris' house, of course we came by! Cesar (Paparazzi) played, along with Le Castle Vania, and it was a great time. The photos are a blur, along with the night, but they will do! The first photo above was a swirl of an accident, but the more I look at it, the more I love it. As for the others, they won't excuse my inebriation, but I hope my liver is more forgiving!

I came straight from work so everything was kept simple and tutor-appropriate!

I hate his hair! Thankfully it's only one side, so for once, I'll be leaning towards the right. And a little smidget I captured. I don't use the video feature nearly as often as I'd like, but here's a glimpse of my belligerent videography skills ;)
EDIT: I uploaded to vimeo because evidently flickr video SUCKS. End of.

Solely because I had a coupon, we ate at Mimi's Cafe, where I worked for a good year when I was 17. I used to swear by this place, but the menu changed so much and the food was Denny's comparable. Which I wouldn't complain about, except for the fact it's triple the price. Overall experience: The (free) bread was good.

Only in California can you hit up the beach in January and expect perfect weather. Luckily the MLK holiday was in the 80s temperature-wise, so we didn't hesitate to take advantage.

A day at the beach just isn't the same without a trip to In-n-Out afterward for my grilled cheese!

On Saturday, Chris, Stevo, Duy and I went to an art show in El Segundo. It was pretty interesting, but unfortunately I don't think I got to appreciate it enough considering my lack of submersion in the motorcycling culture. In retrospect, the boys had a blast!

~RANDOMS~

Omg, shoes

A bunch of random photos that have collected. I have so many queued posts that I need to attend to but so little time! I think this is already been my most productive semester so far, but to be honest after not working for 5 months, I really enjoy being busy all the time, and really getting to enjoy the free time that I do have. So basically all my in-between posts will be picture-and-caption format to save me from writing a novel of a blog post.

As you may know one of my inspirations (that I love to snag pieces from) is my mom's closet, but the other day I turned around & realized what a beaut my dad's side of the closet is! Organizational Heaven n_n

I have been so busy with school and my new tutoring job, I apologize for my lack of posts! I promise I will post more often, but for now they'll be merely photo posts until my long lost child I named Free Time returns to me. This is from when Chris and I went to a dollar sale at a local second hand trading store, similar to Buffalo Exchange. Right when doors opened, I charged to a rack I had been eying through the window, and I'm completely satisfied with the lot of material I so rightfully deserved. This was not an easy task! Think Sunday sales at Jet Rag.

Chris and Duy Decimal, who I faintly remember saying I was gonna trick people & tell was Vinh Luvtek.

New Year's Eve was a blast, the event was super ghetto yet conversely legit: that optimal balance. I saw faces that I've missed dearly, and I was really happy to spend a portion of the evening with my two favorite people without witnessing WWIII. This year has started extremely productively, and I can't wait for the rest!
