I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas (and other holidays) while still sticking to its true meaning. I visited home spending Christmas Eve at le boyy's where they celebrate the traditional holiday, a ton of presents lying under the tree and cookies by the fireplace for Santa the next morning; and Christmas day at my house where a houseplant is decorated to simulate a tree, and for presents my mother hands me her credit card and says to order something good. Culture shock, right? Definitely not complaining; we still celebrated as a family at the annual Christmas lunch where, appropriately, I was the roaming photographer because I have the "big camera." Plus, I get to celebrate the holiday one more time when pseudo-Santa aka the UPS man comes knocking on my door. A more thorough, photographic update will be coming once I'm back home. /end rantTWITTER | FACEBOOK | BLOGLOVINxoxo

ReplyDeleteWow, it really is a culture shock. My family is more similar to your boyfriend's one, but I'd love to spend Christmas in this less traditional way in the future, just to see what it feels like :)
