On Thursday Caylen came over for our annual Thanksgiving dinner, and this year was vegan! I haven't had meat since 7th grade, but to be honest I have never tried "tofurkey," and probably never will. Normally we have our Thanksgiving feast in my kitchen or eat on my bedroom floor, middle school sleepover style, but this year we set up actual place-sets in my room and it turned out extremely well!

As for my outfit, I had to post a few last photos before shipping off one of my fav. skirts to its new owner. I'll be posting more similar pieces to my shop soon, so stay tuned! Lastly, I'll be holding another giveaway, this time for $35 USD! Details/entry post coming very soon.

Friday was the one-time return of Matinee to the Fox Theater in Pomona. It was a great time! We spent the rest of the night relaxing in the green room.

Sanrio Small Gift Carnival in Santa Monica




Oh don't we look so happy!

We went to Sanrio's Small Gift Carnival in Santa Monica, well because by now I shouldn't have to explain my secret obsession with a certain wonderful kitty. There was so much to do, and I'm glad we arrived early to semi-avoid outrageous lines. The art gallery was more than amazing, and unfortunately the line to enter the pop-up store snaked around the entirety of the airport hangar in which our adventure took place. The carnival games were not unexpectantly aimed for a much younger audience, but we took full advantage. Here's a short clip of me about to win it big, Price Is Right style. Afterward we stopped by the Promenade; before adjourning for dinner I had to drag everyone in for cupcakes and the Vanilla Bake Shop. Three Baby Cupcakes, but taste-wise, don't let the name fool you! Absolutely more pleasing to the taste than to the eye, which is quite a statement to make. As much as I would like to, I won't bombard your internet browsers with our lot of photos, so for more views of the Art Gallery & beyond, they can always be found on my Flickr.

And before I go, I just wanted to mention that Heartsrevolution featured my Halloween costume on their website! It's nothing big, but I was flattered to have the person I was dressed as praise my ensemble.

In a perfect world!

I helped friend and photographer Cameron (check out his website!) pick out clothes for his new job at South Coast Plaza. Can't wait to dig my teeth into his discount! After passing by shops too expensive to step half a foot through the door, we checked out the Free People boutique but to my dismay I couldn't find the skirt in pursuit. We ended shopping, walking around aimlessly at the lab and obnoxiously blurting obscenities (or was that just me?) with Cameron's craving for pizza at a tiny restaurant with giant slices that Chris brought us to previously. Understatement of the year? The word "giant" to describe those slices.
